Amand Hammer Museum of Art and Culture
One of Many Museum Choices in L.A.
|
Originally the international headquarters for Occidental Oil, and housing the chairman’s (Dr. Armand Hammer) private collections, The Armand Hammer Museum of Art and Culture Center (AHMACC) opened to the public in November 1990. Shortly after Dr. Hammer’s death, UCLA and the Hammer Museum came to agreement for a partnership to manage and operate the institution. In addition to Hammers’ collections the UCLA Wight Art Gallery and Grunwald Center for the Graphic Arts and the Franklin D. Murphy Sculpture Garden all came under the same management. Today’s exhibitions present both contemporary and historical work in all media of the visual arts. I.T.S. will ease you to and from the Hammer for an event, a tour stop or an excursion as one of many museum choices in L.A.. |
